Local church leaders are invited to attend and will have the opportunity to hear and learn from national and local leaders in adult and older adult ministries. The conference is made possible through a grant by the United Methodist Foundation of Arkansas.

Keynote Speakers
MISSY BUCHANAN is a popular author/writer and speaker on topics of aging and faith. She has appeared on Good Morning American with co-anchor Robin Roberts. Her books Living with Purpose in a Worn-Out Body: Spiritual Encouragement for Older Adults, Talking with God in Old Age: Meditations and Psalms, Don’t Write My Obituary Just Yet: Inspiring Faith Stories for Older Adults, and Aging Faithfully: 28 Days of Prayer are top sellers for Upper Room Books. In addition, Buchanan writes a monthly column, “Aging Well”, for the United Methodist Reporter: www.umportal.org. She also writes a regular column about aging for www.ministrymatters.com. A native Texan and former creativity educator, Missy loves spending time with her family, including husband, Barry, three grown children/spouses, and the cutest-ever grandsons!
CAROL KRAU is the director of Adult Formation and Discipleship for the General Board of Discipleship in Nashville. Carol is a popular presenter and workshop facilitator who specializes in aiding local church leaders better connect with the mid-life adults in their mission fields.

BOOMERS OR BUST - Jennifer R. Pasco is an ordained elder of the Oklahoma Conference. She is a graduate of the University of Texas—San Antonio and Phillips Theological Seminary, Tulsa, OK. She holds a B.A.in Sociology and an MDiv. Her area of study included research and papers on the care and programming of older adults.
ADULTS & TECHNOLOGY – Learn how Christ of the Hills took the fear out of using technology for their adults and older adults through an intergenerational program and more. This workshop will be led by Sheila McCallum, web minister and communications coordinator for Christ of the Hills UMC in Hot Spring Village. Following a 20-year career as an IBM software product planner, she and her husband now own a computer company, B & S In-Home Computer Service where they provide computer training and software support.
ADULT & OLDER MINISTRY IN ARKANSAS – What the future holds… Learn how the Adult & Older Adult Councils are living into the Imagine Ministry future. Hear about upcoming projects and how you can be involved. Bonus: A sneak preview of an Older Adult Ministry series to be made available to all local churches. Facilitated by Adult & Older Adult Council members.
